AU Facilitates Global Business Discussions at 23rd IBEC

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) successfully hosted the 23rd International Business and Economy Conference (IBEC) during January 3 to 6, 2025, at Suvarnabhumi Campus. The conference provided a platform for scholars and practitioners to engage in intellectual discussions on strategic challenges in the global arena.

The event featured in-person sessions across five special tracks: Finance and Economics, Management and Marketing, Accounting and Sustainability, Business Analytics, and Hospitality and Tourism. Participants had the opportunity to attend various presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions tailored to these fields.

The conference commenced with a welcome address by Assistant Professor Dr. Dhanoos Sutthiphisal, the Dean of MSME Business School, followed by remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wei He, Conference Chair from IONA University. Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D.,the President of AU, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of such forums in fostering academic and professional growth.

A highlight of the opening day was the keynote speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manapol Ekkayokkaya from Chulalongkorn University, who shared insights on emerging trends in the global business landscape on “Navigating Economic Turbulence: Financial Innovations and Strategies for Sustainable Growth Implications from M&As in Emerging Economies”. The session concluded with a group photo, capturing the diverse assembly of attendees.
